Design complex electronic control system, module architectures, signal processing and communication systems by using Model Based Design methodology.

Support development of innovative products by covering different activities from theoretical to experimental analysis, coordinate performance testing, and concept verification.

Define new testing methodology based on Software in the loop and Hardware in the loop approaches.


Key responsibilities:

Design MATLAB Simulink models according to the specified high level requirements.

Design/Review detailed requirements.

Ideate and implement appliance control algorithms identifying trade-offs and balancing performance-cost-complexity.

Apply general MBD standards & guidelines.

Generate C-code using MATLAB code generator.

Design MATLAB testing scenarios for model verification.

Perform Model in the loop verification.

Perform Software in the loop verification.

Perform Hardware in the loop verification.

Develop tools to increase the efficiency of the MBD life cycle and the quality.

Follow defined project processes/guidelines/checklists and ensure process conformance.

Contribute effectively in the continuous improvement of the project, team, and work environment by submitting improvement proposals.

Raise flags pro-actively for any issue that can impact the project or team.

Communicate professionally and autonomously with the internal customers and the team members.

Execute project so that timing, investments, cost, quality and performance are delivered according to specification.

Ensure that new products, concepts, modules developed are in line with the architectures and MBD strategy.


Key functional qualifications

Degree in Electronics, Computer, Mechatronics, Robotics or Automation Engineering.

Deep knowledge in MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow development tools.

Knowledge of model-based design methodology with automatic code generation.

Good knowledge in control laws.

Good knowledge about software engineering (requirement, design, development, verification and validation).

Knowledge in C and C++ languages.

Basic HW knowledge.

Electronics Engineering: Sensors; Distributed control systems (Master/Slave and/or Multi-master architecture); Embedded Systems (ADCs, PWMs, etc).

Analytical skills.

Decision making ability.

Attention to details.

Ability to work in a team as well as an individual.

Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.

Good English knowledge
